What do AIDS, gay icons, fashion royalty, NBC comedy, and capitalism have in common? They were all present on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange this morning to ring the opening bell.
The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) visited the NYSE to raise awareness about AIDS, one day before World AIDS Day.

UNC is organizing a number of events to commemorate World AIDS Day 2010, including the 12th Annual CFAR World AIDS Day Symposium and a Turn It Red event in Polk Place, hosted by the UNC chapter of GlobeMed.
Our own Ada Adimora will be spending World AIDS Day at the White House with Hilary Clinton, Kathleen Sibelius, Anthony Fauci (director of NIAID), and President Obama (OK, we hear POTUS might make an appearance, but it’s not confirmed). Look for more on that soon.
